I’m Reagan Domingue, a multimedia photojournalist and visual storyteller from New Orleans, Louisiana, whose work is rooted in people, culture, identity, and community.
My journey in visual storytelling began with a love for photography and grew into a passion for documenting the moments, people, and experiences that often deserve a closer look. With more than seven years of experience in photography, videography, and digital media, I’ve learned that a powerful image is more than something that looks good—it can preserve a memory, communicate an emotion, challenge a perspective, or give visibility to a story that may otherwise go unheard.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Multimedia from Dillard University, where I developed my foundation in visual communication, journalism, media production, and storytelling. During my time at Dillard, I worked across photography, video, social media, athletics, and campus media, gaining experience telling stories in fast-paced and diverse environments.
I also founded Captured By Reagan, my photography business, where I have worked as a freelance photographer and multimedia creator covering sports, events, portraits, and editorial stories. Building my own creative business has taught me not only how to create images, but how to connect with people, understand their stories, and approach each assignment with intention.
Now, I am continuing that journey at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, pursuing an M.S. in Multimedia, Photography & Design with a focus on photojournalism. My graduate work allows me to push beyond simply documenting what I see and explore how photography can communicate deeper stories about identity, culture, community, and everyday life.
As a photographer, I want my work to feel honest, intentional, and human. I’m interested in the stories behind the image the relationships, emotions, struggles, celebrations, and quiet moments that make people who they are.
